I have always loved color and am especially drawn to a riot of colors. Without trying, my paintings often end with color being the overall theme. New to painting within the last few years, I have been fortunate to have studied with several of the area’s leading artists: Pat Flachbart, Judy Rider, Kay Robb, and Kate Worm. I love the flexibility of oil, the brilliance of acrylics, and the freedom of watercolors and use all these mediums in my work. My favorite subjects are rural and mountain landscapes and waterscapes, the still life, and even figure and portrait painting. I love to capture mood while imparting a bit of the unusual in color and subject. I want my paintings to make the viewer stop and consider and then know.
